It’s the schoolyard fight that never really ended, and it’s as strong today as the rivalry between the Leafs and the Habs! Both city hubs are filled with their own brand of charisma and opportunity, but which is better?
Maybe you’re a Montrealer that always wanted to make that leap to T-Dot, or a Torontonian who just wants to be somewhere where you can get poutine at pretty much every corner? Either way, both cities have pros and cons and now, we’ve gathered the data as they finally go head to head!
We’ve crunched the numbers and now you can read the comparison infographic based on our own study of the 2 cities and make your choice!!!

I think Toronto salaries are more than that. Also, no wonder it’s soo difficult to find a job in Montreal, more degrees given out even though we are half the population.
Interesting comparison. Thank you for the numbers, I am a bit confused about them though…. Are the blue numbers for Montreal & the red for Toronto? It is not clearly noted. Also, what are the bar %’s for on the right under “cost of living?” They do not seem to correspond to the %’s noted in the text beside them on the left.
I can hardly believe the comparison of salaries……unless most people in Toronto dope on the side to support the million dollar homes they live in……the salaries you list are considered hobby salaries in Toronto….. they wont even buy you a cardboard box to live in.
You should add in Car Insurance – Ontario is WAY WAY WAY more expensive. I was quoted 12x more expensive when I moved to Toronto. Torontonians who find out I used to pay under $200 annually in car insurance in Montreal are always shocked.

You didn’t mention that French language is necessary in Montreal
